Diaries to Journalism- My Ongoing Journey;
Writing has always been a powerful tool of self expression. For many aspiring journalists & writers alike, the journey for us began with writing in a diary. As an aspiring writer journalist, I have always been plagued by a deep-rooted fear of using my voice.
The thought of sharing my ideas, opinions, and stories with the world seemed daunting and overwhelming. The fear of rejection and criticism loomed over me, causing me to question my abilities and hesitate to put myself out there. However, after years of self-doubt and hesitation, I have finally found the courage to break free from the constraints of fear. I have realized that my voice is unique and valuable, capable of sparking change and inspiring others. Embracing this newfound courage, I am ready to unleash my creativity, express my thoughts boldly, and make my mark as a writer & aspiring journalist.
Writing in a diary from early childhood to now has greatly shaped the type of writer I am. Having started so early I feel I gained a plethora of experience, I explored many different writing techniques. From gut wrenching slam poetry-to free verses-to stories-to silly love letters. After pouring my heart out onto countless pages, year after year, the weight of my emotions always finds solace in the pages of my notebook. As my diary became a sanctuary where my soul can rest and heal. I have unraveled the tangled threadsβ¦
